Queenstown Christian leaders Chris and Janet Barraclough have moved their "On the Rock" Vineyard Church into the former Candy's Gentlemen's Club in Shotover St.
The former brothel, which offered spas, sauna and massages, closed in December when the building's lease ran out.
Strict bylaws make it almost impossible for another brothel to open in the town, so the building has been empty.
Now, the church has moved in. Janet Barraclough declined to comment on the move yesterday, saying she and her husband were not looking for publicity.

Motorist arrested for sex while speeding
